ABOUT US

We are the Evatt Family! Wes and I met at church many years ago when I was just five and he was seven. We grew up together and in love with one another over time and were married in June of 2005. Wes earned a B.A.degree in vocal performance and loves just about every style of music. He's also very talented in many other areas and he has always kept me laughing! I love to read, sew and spend as much time possible with my beautiful family. When we were first married, we didn't plan on having children until we were five years into marriage. God had other plans and we had our third, and final, child on our fifth wedding anniversary! What a sense of humor God has!

Bella is nine and is our responsible, respectful, rule-following child. She loves to sew, scrapbook, and play with her American girl dolls. Our six year old son Nate is our thoughtful, loving, full of random facts kinda kid. He keeps us laughing always! You can always find him building legos, burried in a good book, or practcing his new hobby of shooting his bow. And our last little gift is five year old Marleigh. She is full of life and energy and is our little songbird. She enjoys drawing, creating all types of arts and crafts and playing with her dolls. Together, we make the Evatt 5!

When Wes and I were first married we both felt called to serve in International missions after taking several short-term trips. We searched for open doors and even tried to pry a few open at times, but God saw fit for us to serve in home missions first. We worked as houseparents at a local home for children for over five years mixed with a few other jobs here and there and gained so much experience over our time at the children's home. When our time there ended, we weren't necessarily looking for any mission related work until this most recent opportunity to serve at the Good Shepherd Christian Academy became an opportunity for us. We are so thankful for God's timing and His perfect plan. Throughout our entire marriage we've settled that His plan will always be the best option and it's what we strive for.
